The SuperPro 201 is a pump shaft seal assembly for motors with a 3/4 inch shaft. Our source lists it both as 201 and as SPG201, and the same assembly is pictured as PS-201.
What a shaft seal does
Where the motor shaft passes into the wet end there has to be a seal that spins on one half and stays still on the other. That is the shaft seal. It is the only thing standing between pool water and the motor bearings, which is why a failed one shows up first as a steady drip from between the motor and the pump body, and later as a seized motor.
Fitting notes
The assembly comes as a set. Keep the polished faces clean, dry and untouched when they go in. Grease, grit or even a fingerprint on those faces will make a new seal weep from the first day. While the wet end is open, the housing gasket and o-rings are worth replacing too.
