Aladdin 152 is a stainless steel set screw for a pool pump shaft, in 1/4-20 thread. It is a direct replacement for the original.

Why stainless matters here

An equipment pad is a wet, chemically loaded place and a plated steel screw does not last in it. The screw corrodes into its thread, the drive socket rounds out under a hex key, and what should have been a two minute job turns into drilling the screw out of the shaft. A stainless screw stays serviceable.

When to fit one

Any time a pump is apart and the set screw looks tired, replace it rather than reuse it. A set screw that will not hold lets the part it is meant to lock turn on the shaft, and that costs more than the screw does.
