Product details

The CMP 25552-500-000 is a 1.5 inch white eyeball fitting with a check valve built into the body. It does two jobs in one part: it aims the water coming back into the pool, and it stops that water running back the other way.

Why the check valve matters

A return line that can drain backward wastes time on every start up and can pull air where you do not want it. Putting the valve inside the return fitting itself means the function is handled at the wall, with nothing extra to plumb into the line and nothing extra to leak.

Setting the flow

The eyeball swivels inside the fitting. Point it slightly down and away from the skimmer to keep the whole body of water turning over, and adjust it again if you change pump speed or add equipment.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

What size is this fitting?
It is the 1.5 inch size, CMP part number 25552-500-000.
Does the check valve come with it, or is that separate?
It comes with it. The check valve is part of this fitting, so the return holds flow in one direction without adding a separate valve to the line.
Can I aim the return?
Yes. The eyeball swivels in the fitting, so you can point the discharge and set how the water turns over in the pool.
What color is it?
White.
