Product details

The G-145 is a square ring gasket in rubber, measuring 6 in. outside diameter, 5-5/8 in. inside diameter and 3/16 in. thick. Our record lists it under the Jacuzzi brand and also references it as 13037809R.

Square, not round

The profile is the point. A square section ring presents flat faces to the surfaces it seals, so it holds a wider contact band against a flange than a round o-ring of the same size would. That is why the original is square, and why substituting a round ring you happen to have in the right diameter tends to end in a slow weep.

Where it is used

It is filed as a filter valves part, listed against Laser bolt-on style top mount sand filters in the 160L, 190L, 225L and 250L sizes. Because it is sold by part number, measure the ring you are removing against the three dimensions above before ordering.

Fitting

Clean the groove and the mating face before the new ring goes in. A thin film of silicone lubricant made for pool o-rings helps it seat flat rather than rolling as the flange is drawn down. Petroleum based grease attacks rubber, so keep it away from this and every other seal on the filter.
