Product details
This is the replacement tank o-ring for the Sta-Rite Posi-Flo II PTM 135 cartridge filter, the seal at the joint where the filter tank comes apart.
What it fixes
A filter that weeps or sprays at the tank joint once the pump comes on is almost always telling you the tank o-ring has gone. The rubber flattens, hardens and eventually splits, and no amount of tightening the clamp will make a dead seal hold.
Fitting
Put the new o-ring in clean and lightly lubricated, and seat it fully before closing the tank. It is worth inspecting the seal every time the filter is opened for a cartridge clean.
