The Pentair 154510 is the 6 inch aluminum closure wrench for the Triton II sand filter, models TR100 and TR140. It is the genuine Pentair tool for the job.

What it is for

A Triton II is opened at the closure whenever the sand is changed or the internals are inspected. That closure is meant to be moved with the matched wrench, and using whatever is at hand instead is how closures get chewed up. This one is cast in aluminum, so it stands up to the leverage a tank that has been sealed for several seasons will ask for.
