Jandy Back Plate Kit

The Jandy R0445200 back plate kit is the genuine Jandy rebuild kit for the seal end of the Stealth, PlusHP, MaxHP, WaterFeature and ePump pumps. It puts a new back plate, a new mechanical seal and new hardware in one box.

In the box

One back plate, one carbon seal half and one ceramic seal half making up the R0479400 mechanical seal, one o-ring, and eight bolts with washers.

Why replace the plate with the seal

The ceramic half of the shaft seal seats in the back plate. If the plate is scored, pitted or cracked, a new seal will not hold for long. Replacing both at once, with fresh bolts instead of corroded originals, is the reliable way to stop a pump that leaks between the body and the motor.
