The Jandy R0546400 is the large base spacer for the FloPro pump. It is a new genuine Jandy part and its job is simple: it sits the pump higher than the standard base that comes in the box.
When you need one
Height matters more on a pump swap than it looks like it should. Suction and return pipes come out of the ground at a fixed height, and if the new pump sits lower than the one it replaced, that difference has to be made up somewhere, either in fittings or in re-cut pipe. Adding the large spacer under the pump is the tidier way to close the gap.
Fitting
The spacer goes under the FloPro in place of the standard base. Set the pump on it, check that the ports line up with your plumbing before you glue anything, and secure the pump as you normally would.
