Product details

The Hayward C7512 is the Star Clear Plus cartridge filter in the 75 square foot size, plumbed with 2 inch female threaded ports.

What the filter area buys you

Square footage is the working number on any cartridge filter. It sets how much dirt the element can trap before pressure climbs and flow falls off, which in turn sets how often you are pulling the cartridge out to clean it. Seventy five square feet is a common residential size.

Cartridge rather than sand

There is no media bed to replace and no backwash cycle to run. Service is a matter of opening the housing, lifting the element out and rinsing it down, then putting it back.

Before you order

Star Clear Plus filters are sold in several sizes and port configurations, and the part number is the reliable way to tell them apart. This one is C7512: 75 square feet, 2 inch female threads.
