The Waterway 400-4060 is a PVC pump half union assembly in 1-1/2". It is the genuine Waterway part.
What it is for
Unions are what make a pump serviceable. Without them the pump is glued into the line and has to be cut out. That convenience comes at a price, because the union is undone and remade every time the pump comes off, and the seat and the nut take the wear.
Before you order
Check the size at the pump, because 1-1/2" and 2" plumbing look similar in place, and confirm whether you need this half of the assembly or the mating side. A union that weeps at the nut is often a seal problem rather than a body problem, so look at the o-ring before replacing the whole fitting.
