This is the Raypak digital propane gas pool heater at 336,000 BTU input, configured for high altitude with the #58 orifice for installations between 2000 and 3000 feet.
Why the altitude version exists
Air gets thinner as elevation rises, so a burner set up at sea level runs rich once it is installed on a mountain. Manufacturers correct for that with a different orifice. The #58 orifice in this unit is the correction for the 2000 to 3000 foot band. Installing a sea level heater at that elevation, or this one near sea level, gives you a burner that never runs the way it was certified to.
Digital and electronic ignition
Control is digital rather than a mechanical dial, and the burner uses electronic ignition, so there is no standing pilot consuming gas between heating cycles.

What does high altitude mean here?
