Product details

The Pentair MasterTemp 400 is a 400,000 BTU propane gas heater for pools and spas, model EC-462029. It is the biggest heater in the MasterTemp line and the one most often chosen where a large pool has to be kept warm or a spa has to come up to temperature quickly.

Is this the propane or natural gas MasterTemp?
This is the propane model, EC-462029. If your site has natural gas, order the natural gas version of the MasterTemp 400 instead.
What size pool is the 400 for?
The 400,000 BTU MasterTemp is the largest in the line and is the usual pick for large inground pools and for pool and spa systems where you want the spa hot quickly. Your installer can size it against gallons, target temperature and climate.
Who should install it?
A licensed gas appliance installer or pool professional. Gas supply sizing, venting clearances and the electrical connection all have to meet local code.
How does it ship?
