Product details

The Hayward SP1107 is the straight Skim-Vac vacuum plate for the in-ground Skim Master skimmers, models SP1070 and SP1071.

How it is used

The plate drops into the skimmer over the basket and gives the vacuum hose a fitting to connect to. All the suction the pump is producing goes through that hose, so vacuuming is stronger than working off a dedicated vacuum line, and because the flow still passes through the basket, leaves and grit are caught before they reach the pump strainer.

Match the plate

Hayward builds more than one Skim Vac plate and they are not interchangeable. This is the straight version. Take the old plate out and compare it before ordering, and check the gasket at the same time, because a plate that will not seal defeats the point.
