Product details

The Hayward SP11051 is the skimmer vacuum plate for a 1-1/2 inch hose, with the straight style adapter. It measures 6 inches in diameter and is molded in plastic.

How it changes the job

The plate sits over the skimmer basket, so the vacuum hose pulls through the basket instead of through the pump strainer. On a leaf heavy pool that is the difference between vacuuming straight through and stopping every few minutes to shut the pump down and empty the strainer. Empty the skimmer basket instead and carry on.

Fitment

Hayward lists SP11051 for the front access skimmers SP1090, 1091, 1096, 1097 and 1098 in the top cover styles. Attach the plate over the basket, push the 1-1/2 inch hose onto the adapter, and vacuum.
