Product details

The Hayward EC1155 is a suction and discharge hose package sized for 1-1/2 in. connections. Hayward lists it as 1.5 in. by 6 ft and supplies both hoses as a single kit.

Why hoses fail

Hose spends its life in sun and in and out of water. Over seasons it hardens, the wall thins where it flexes, and cracks open at the fittings. A discharge hose that splits is obvious because it sprays. A suction hose is not: it can pull air through a crack while showing no leak at all, and the symptoms turn up as a pump that will not hold prime or a steady stream of bubbles at the returns.
