Product details

The Waterway Iron Might is a single speed circulation pump for spas and hot tubs, running on 115V with a 48 frame motor. It is the complete pump, model CP-1/8-1N11A.

Circulation, not jets

A circulation pump has a different job from a jet pump. It moves water quietly and continuously through the heater, the filter and any ozone or sanitizer equipment, around the clock. That is why the Iron Might delivers 40 GPM on only 1.3 amps: the priority is running all day at a cost you can ignore, not producing pressure at the jets.

The rating on the label

This pump carries two horsepower figures. It is listed at 1/15 HP and was previously sold as 1/8 HP. The output is the same, only the rating changed, so a pump bought under either number does the same work.

Build and plumbing

The housing uses a side discharge for better flow and easier routing at the pack, with 1-1/2 inch intake and discharge. Viton seals handle water carrying sanitizer and ozone better than standard materials. Union assemblies are available separately to suit different plumbing. The pump carries a one year warranty.
