CMP Next Gen DEL AOP 40 Ozone + UV-C Full Flow Sanitation for Residential Pools, 40,000 Gallons, 120V/240V

The CMP 53000-040-000 is the Next Gen DEL AOP 40, an advanced oxidation sanitizer for residential pools up to 40,000 gallons. It combines ozone with UV-C light in a full flow chamber and runs on 120V or 240V.

How AOP works

Ozone is generated and injected into the water, then the water passes under UV-C light. The combination produces hydroxyl radicals, which oxidize organics, chloramines and other contaminants faster than chlorine or ozone on their own. Because the unit is full flow, the entire circulation stream is treated on every pass rather than a bypassed fraction of it.

What it does for the pool

An AOP unit does the heavy oxidizing that a pool would otherwise ask of its chlorine, so the residual sanitizer can be held lower and the water carries fewer of the byproducts that cause odor and irritation. The pool still needs a residual sanitizer; the AOP 40 is a supplement, not a replacement.
