Product details

This is the CMP replacement zinc bar for the Compact model sacrificial zinc anode, part number 25810-400-950. It is the bar alone, for a Compact anode already in service.

Why the bar is consumable

A sacrificial anode works by being the metal that corrodes. The zinc is chosen to give itself up preferentially, which is why it gets smaller season after season. An anode that still looks new after several years is usually not making proper contact, and one that has wasted away to a stub has finished its job and stopped protecting anything.

Before you order

Confirm you have the CMP Compact model, since anodes are sized to the housing they sit in and bars are not interchangeable between models. Replacing the bar renews the anode without buying a new assembly.

What does this replace?
