Product details

The Hayward HAXCPA3403 is the control panel assembly for 400DS ED2 style H-Series electronic gas pool heaters. It is the genuine Hayward part, supplied as a complete assembly.

What it does

The control panel is the face of the heater, the piece an owner or tech actually touches to set temperature and read the heater back. When the panel cracks, goes blank, stops responding to buttons or takes water damage, the heater can be mechanically fine and still be unusable. Replacing the panel assembly restores that interface without touching the gas train or the heat exchanger.

Check the control generation first

Hayward built the H-Series across more than one control design, and the panels are not interchangeable between them. This assembly is the ED2 style, 400DS version. Confirm from the heater data plate that you have an ED2 unit before ordering, because a panel from a different generation will not mate up.
