This is the Pentair 85002300 extension collar for the ring seat, the piece that lifts an Admiral in ground skimmer up to meet the finished deck. Each collar stands 3" tall on its own, and each one added to a stack raises the total height by 2".
The measurements
The top measures 9-3/8" on the outside and 9-1/8" on the inside. The bottom measures 9" outside and 8-3/4" inside. The stepped profile is what makes stacking work: the bottom section is 1-7/8" tall on the outside and 2" on the inside, and the top section is 1-1/8" outside and 1" inside.
When you need one
Deck work, a new pour, a lifted coping course or a skimmer that ended up sitting low all leave the ring seat below the surface it is supposed to finish flush with. Collars are the fix, and because they stack in 2" steps, an installation that is off by more than one collar can still be brought up to level.
