Hayward Filter Tank Bottom with Drain Assembly S200

The Hayward SX200AA1T is the genuine lower tank half for the S200 sand filter, supplied with the drain assembly already installed and without the base skirt. It is the taupe tank bottom that the upper half clamps to.

When it is needed

A cracked or leaking lower tank, or a drain boss that has stripped or broken, cannot be repaired reliably under filter pressure. Replacing the bottom half restores the tank without replacing the whole filter, the valve or the laterals.

Reassembly

The skirt from your existing filter reuses. Plan on a new S200 series tank o-ring at the same time; once the halves have been apart the old o-ring seldom seals again, and it is a small part next to the cost of the tank.
