Product details

The Pentair 24203-0033 is the flexible pipe assembly for the Waterford sand filter system valve. It is the short flexible run that joins the filter tank to the valve.

Why it fails

Flexible plumbing on a filter spends years under pressure, sun and chemical exposure. It stiffens, then cracks, usually at a bend or right at a fitting. The result is a weep that turns into a spray once the pump comes up to pressure. Replacing the assembly is a straightforward fix and puts the original factory connection back.

Check the tank size

One source describes this assembly for an 18 inch Waterford sand filter, and another lists it against a 17 inch tank. Both readings are carried here rather than picking one. Measure your tank and confirm the Pentair number 24203-0033 against your filter before you order.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

What does this pipe connect?
It is the flexible pipe assembly at the Waterford sand filter system valve, joining the valve to the tank.
Is this an 18 inch or a 17 inch filter part?
The sources disagree. One describes it for an 18 inch Waterford sand filter and another lists a 17 inch tank. Measure your tank diameter and confirm against Pentair part 24203-0033 before ordering.
Is it genuine Pentair?
Yes. It is carried under Pentair part number 24203-0033.
Why would I replace it?
Flexible plumbing goes hard and cracks over the years. If the joint between the tank and the valve weeps or sprays under pressure, the assembly is the part to change.
