The Hayward AXV602P is the turbine kit for the Navigator and Pool Vac XL suction side pool cleaners. It is the genuine Hayward part.
What the turbine does
A suction cleaner has no motor of its own. Water pulled through the body spins the turbine, and the turbine drives the gear train that walks the cleaner across the floor and up the walls. Everything the cleaner does for movement traces back to that one spinning part.
When to replace it
Years of sand and grit passing through wear the turbine down. The cleaner still pulls water but moves slowly, stalls in corners, or stops covering the pool. Once the hoses and pump flow check out, the turbine is the next thing to change.
