Product details

The Hayward AXV621DAT is the universal A-frame and turbine kit for Hayward suction cleaners. It covers the Pool Vac, Navigator, Aquadroid, AquaBug, Diver Dave and Wanda the Whale models, so one kit serves most of the range.

What comes in the kit

Two soft roller A-frames with their bushings, a saddle, a keeper, the main turbine with bearings, hex head pod screws, pod screw washers, and installation instructions. That is the full set of wear parts on the drive side of the cleaner, which is why this is usually treated as a tune up rather than a single part swap.

When to fit one

A cleaner that has slowed down, stalls in corners or climbs badly is usually worn at the A-frames or the turbine rather than short of suction. Both wear together, so replacing them as a set restores the original pattern instead of trading one worn part for another.

Fitting

The instructions come in the box and the hardware is included, so the job needs no extra parts. Work on a dry cleaner and keep the old pod screws until the new ones are seated.
