Product details

This is the Hayward TVX7000HST-01 sweep tail kit for the TriVac 500 and TriVac 700 automatic pool cleaners.

What the tail does

The sweep tail trails behind the cleaner and beats against the floor as the unit moves. That action lifts settled silt and leaves into suspension so the cleaner can take them in, and it reaches into corners and along walls that the body itself passes by. Without a working tail the cleaner still drives its pattern but leaves the fine debris where it lies.

When to replace it

Tails wear from the tip back. They fray, split and gradually shorten, and the sweeping arc shrinks with them. If you notice the same areas being missed every cycle, compare the tail against a new one before looking further into the cleaner. This part is supplied as a kit and fits the TriVac 500 and 700.
