Getting the right version
Hayward changed this assembly, so it is worth confirming before ordering. The newer part has S-220EB2 molded into the elbow, on the face where the bulkhead fitting screws in, and the front of the assembly is flat with ridges. If your existing elbow does not match that description, you have the earlier style.
