Why a small bushing matters

A suction cleaner is driven entirely by water passing through a turbine and a train of gears. Every gear in that train has to stay on its axis for the teeth to mesh where they were designed to. When a bushing wears oval, the gear it carries starts to wander, the mesh goes off, and the gears either side begin taking damage. A cleaner that has grown noisy or lost its pattern is often one worn bushing away from needing a whole gearbox.
