CMP DEL AOP-S Ozone + UV Generator, up to 25k Gallon Pools

The DEL AOP-S is an ozone plus ultraviolet sanitizer for in-ground pools up to 25,000 gallons, sold under CMP now that CMP has taken DEL Ozone into its line. Part number SEC-50-01. It was previously sold as the AOP 25 and, before that, as the Solar Eclipse; the unit is the same, the name and label have changed.

How AOP works

The AOP-S generates ozone with DEL's Plasma Gap technology and passes it by an integrated Trident germicidal UV lamp. UV light reacting with ozone produces hydroxyl free radicals, which have more oxidation potential than ozone on its own and roughly three times the oxidizing power of chlorine. The two technologies working together are what DEL calls the Advanced Oxidation Process, and the result is more sanitizing power than either would deliver separately.

Application

It is rated as a primary sanitizer for in-ground pools up to 25,000 gallons and can be installed during construction or added to an existing pool. A standard size mixing de-gas vessel is available for the AOP-S and is listed separately. For pools up to 50,000 gallons, DEL offers the AOP 50.
