Product details

The Hayward S200KT is the dome body wrench for the S-200 and S-240 filters. It is the factory tool for loosening and re-seating the filter dome.

Why the right tool matters here

A filter dome that has been on for a few seasons can be genuinely stuck, and the improvised answers, a strap wrench, a pipe wrench, a screwdriver used as a lever, all concentrate force on one point of a molded plastic part. That is how domes crack. The S200KT spreads the load across the body the way Hayward designed it to be handled.

When it comes out of the shed

Any job that opens the filter needs it: media changes, checking the internals, or reassembling the filter afterwards so the dome pulls down evenly against its seal. It is worth keeping with the filter rather than buying one at the point the dome will not budge.
