Product details

The Pentair 192193 is the genuine OEM top grid manifold with air screen for Pentair PacFab Nautilus DE filters.

What it does

In a DE filter every grid ports into the top manifold, and the manifold carries the filtered water out of the tank. That makes it a single point where the whole stack can fail. A crack in the manifold, or a grid seat that has opened up, gives DE powder a route straight past the media and back to the pool.

Diagnosing it

The classic symptom is powder returning to the pool after a recharge while the grids themselves look sound. Owners often replace grids first and see no change, because the leak is upstream of them in the manifold.

While the stack is out

The manifold only comes free with the grid assembly, so the grids are already on the bench. Look them over for tears and thin spots in the same visit rather than opening the tank twice.
