The Pentair 357227 is the replacement lid for Pentair and Sta-Rite OptiFlo pumps. It is a new OEM part.

Why the lid matters

The strainer pot lid is a pressure seal, not a cosmetic cover. When it cracks, warps or no longer seats evenly, the pump draws air at the pot instead of water, and the symptom on the deck is a pump that will not hold prime and a pot that never stays full. Lids also cloud and craze with age and sun, which is a smaller problem but a real one, because a lid you cannot see through hides a basket that is packed with leaves.
