The Pentair 98206600 is a T-bolt for the lid clamp on the Pentair Americana pool and spa pump.

What it does

A pump lid clamp uses a band around the pump lid and a T-bolt to draw that band tight, sealing the lid against the pump housing so the pump can hold prime. The 98206600 is the metal T-bolt that performs this job on the Americana pump, working together with the clamp band and its fastener to keep even pressure on the lid seal.

When to replace it

A worn, bent or corroded T-bolt can keep the clamp from tightening evenly, which can lead to a lid that will not seal. Replacing the T-bolt with the correct Pentair part restores the clamp to its original fit.
