Product details

The Pentair 263052 is a push pull valve kit for side mount filters, built on 8 inch centers with 2 inch unions and an ABS body. It is the direct replacement for the original slide valve on American Products Eclipse and Sandpiper side mount filter systems.

What a push pull valve does

It gives the filter two positions. Push the handle down and water runs through the filter; pull it up and the flow reverses to backwash. There is no rotating disc and no six position dial to line up, which is why service techs like them on side mount tanks. The trade off is that you only get the two functions.

Getting the fit right

Two measurements decide whether this valve drops in: the 8 inch center spacing and the 2 inch port size. Both have to match what is on the filter now. The kit includes the unions, so once it is in, the valve can be pulled for service later without cutting pipe.

What does the 8" center measurement refer to?
