Product details

The Hayward SP0724S is a 2 inch Trimline ball valve with socket connections on both ends. It is the genuine Hayward part.

What it is for

A ball valve in a pool line does one job well: it opens fully or it shuts fully, with a quarter turn of the handle and very little restriction when open. Fitted either side of the pump, the filter or the heater, a pair of them lets you take that piece of equipment apart without losing the water in the rest of the system.

Fitting it

Both ends are 2 inch sockets, which means the valve glues onto schedule 40 pipe with ordinary primer and solvent cement. The Trimline body is narrower than a standard valve, which is often the difference between fitting and not fitting on a crowded equipment pad.
