This is the CMP Hydroseal 2-way diverter valve, a 2-port valve in black CPVC with 1.5 in socket by 2 in spigot connections. It is made by Custom Molded Products.

Where it goes

A 2-port diverter switches or splits flow between two lines. On a pool or spa system that is the valve that decides which side of the plumbing gets the water, whether that is spa versus pool, or one return line versus another. The body is CPVC rated to NSF, which suits it to potable and treated water plumbing rather than general purpose PVC fittings.
