Product details
The Pentair R172319 is the bottom o-ring, new style, for the Rainbow 320 and 322 automatic feeders. It is the genuine Pentair part.
What it seals
The bottom of a Rainbow feeder is under constant pressure and constant chemical exposure, and the o-ring at that joint is what keeps the water inside. Over a few seasons it hardens, takes a set, and eventually weeps. A slow drip at the base of the feeder almost always traces back to this ring rather than to the body or the fittings.
Fitting notes
This is the new style ring. On an older feeder, compare it against the seal you remove before you reassemble. A thin film of o-ring lubricant on the new ring helps it seat and slows the hardening, and it is worth replacing the ring any time the feeder is opened for other service.
