The Hayward CX3030D is the bottom cartridge mounting plate for SwimClear cartridge filters. The same plate is also carried under the number HCF7303C.
What it does
The bottom plate is what the cartridge ends seat into inside the tank. It holds the elements square and sealed at the base so dirty water is forced through the pleats instead of slipping past them. A cracked or distorted plate lets water bypass the cartridges, and the filter keeps running while the water stays cloudy.
