Product details

The Pentair EQ1000, part number 340238, is a 10 HP single phase 230 volt commercial pool pump from the EQ Series, supplied with its hair and lint strainer pot. It is a single speed, self-priming pump with an all plastic wet end, a premium efficient motor and 6 in by 4 in flanged connections.

Electrical

Pentair's EQ Series guide lists the EQ1000 at 40.0 A full load and 45.0 A at its 1.15 service factor on 230 V, single phase, and notes the figure can vary slightly with the motor's manufacturer. Size the circuit and the overload protection to the motor nameplate, and give the pump a dedicated power line as Pentair asks.

Connections and size

Suction is 6 in at the strainer pot and discharge is 4 in, on bolted ANSI class 150 flanges that are sold separately. Pentair sells flange kits with a gasket and stainless hardware: 357263 for the 6 in side and 357262 for the 4 in side. With the strainer pot the pump weighs 160 lb and measures 43.92 in long.

Fit and replacement

Pentair positions the EQ Series as a drop-in replacement for its C Series and CSP pumps, compatible with the Acu Drive XS variable frequency drive. Its parts list gives the EQ1000 motor as 357063S, the impeller as 350028Z and the diffuser as 350033Z.

Before you order

340237 is the same EQ1000 without the strainer pot, and the three phase EQK1000 has its own part numbers. Confirm single phase 230 V service at the pad before ordering part 340238.
