Product details

The Hayward HCXFMCG1000 is the genuine manway cover gasket for HCF Series sand filters. It is the seal between the manway cover and the filter tank.

What it seals

The manway is the access port used to get into the tank for media changes and inspection. It is a large opening in a vessel that runs under pressure, and this gasket is the only thing holding that joint. When it hardens or takes a set, the cover weeps around the rim.

Fit a new one every time

Once a gasket has been compressed it does not go back to its original shape, so refitting the old one after a media change is the usual cause of a leak that was not there before. Ordering the Hayward part number makes sure the profile matches the cover.
