Product details

The Pentair 84420605 is the Admiral S20 skimmer in its white, 2 inch slip port form, supplied with a PVC base, a flap weir and an equalizer, for concrete pool construction.

How a skimmer earns its keep

Surface water is where leaves, oils and pollen collect, and the skimmer is what pulls that layer off before any of it sinks. The weir is the moving flap in the throat: water passes over it on the way in, and when the pump stops the flap closes and keeps the collected debris in the basket rather than letting it drift back into the pool.

Plumbing and construction

This configuration takes 2 inch slip connections, so the suction line is solvent welded directly to the skimmer with no threaded joint to seal. The equalizer port is included. The PVC base is the version specified for concrete pools; Pentair lists separate Admiral configurations for vinyl liner construction and for threaded ports.
