Pentair IntelliFlo3 VSF 3.0HP with I/O Board, TradeGrade

The Pentair IntelliFlo3 VSF is the current generation of the IntelliFlo variable speed pump, and model 011076 is the 3.0 HP version with the relay I/O board factory installed. It is a TradeGrade product, which means Pentair intends it to be installed by a qualified pool professional.

Flow, not just speed

Where an ordinary variable speed pump holds a motor RPM, the IntelliFlo3 holds a flow rate. Built-in sensorless flow control watches the load on the pump and adjusts speed to keep the gallons per minute you asked for, so a dirty filter after a storm or a full weekend of swimmers does not starve the heater, the salt cell or the cleaner. Running at the lowest speed that does the job is where the energy savings come from, up to 90 percent compared with a single speed pump.

Control from the phone or the pad

The Pentair Home app connects to the pump over WiFi or Bluetooth so you can check on it or change the flow rate from anywhere. The relay I/O board in this version adds two relays, which let the pump itself switch up to two other pool devices on a schedule without a separate automation system.
