The Waterway 310-1880 is the replacement 2 in Executive wet end rated at 1.5 HP. It is built to mount to 48 frame motors.
What a wet end is
The wet end is everything on the water side of the pump: the strainer housing, the impeller, the diffuser and the seal plate that bolts to the motor. It is the half that wears, cracks and takes the damage from debris and freezing, while the motor often outlives it.
When to replace it
A cracked housing, a chewed impeller or a seal plate that will no longer hold a seal are all wet end problems. If the motor still spins freely and runs quietly, fitting a new wet end brings the pump back for less than a complete replacement.
Check the frame first
This wet end mounts to 48 frame motors. Read the frame designation off the motor label before ordering, because a 56 frame motor uses a different wet end.
