Product details

The Hayward SX200D is the bulkhead fitting for the S200 and S240 side mount sand filters. It is the connection that passes through the tank wall and joins the filter to the multiport valve plumbing.

When to replace it

Look at it whenever the tank is weeping at the port and a new o-ring has not cured it. A fitting that has cracked, gone brittle in the sun or lost its threads will keep leaking no matter how many o-rings go in. This is the genuine Hayward part, so it matches the tank opening and the valve connection exactly.

Order the o-ring too

The bulkhead o-ring is sold separately. Fit a new one whenever the fitting is removed.

Which filters does this fit?
The Hayward S200 and S240 side mount sand filters.
Is the o-ring included?
No. The bulkhead o-ring is a separate part. It is worth replacing whenever the fitting comes out, since a flattened o-ring is the usual cause of a weep at the tank.
Why is my filter leaking at the fitting?
Either the o-ring has aged or the fitting itself has cracked or lost its threads. Inspect both. A cracked fitting has to be replaced; an o-ring alone is a cheaper first try.
Is this the genuine Hayward part?
Yes. SX200D is the Hayward factory part number.
