Hayward Heat Exchanger Assembly, H200FD

The Hayward FDXLHXA1200 is the genuine replacement heat exchanger assembly for the Universal H-Series Low NOx pool and spa heater, model H200FD. The exchanger is where the heater does its work: pool water passes through it while the burners heat it from below, and the assembly is supplied complete and ready to set into the heater.

When to replace it

Poor water chemistry, especially low pH and high sanitizer levels, attacks the exchanger from the inside, and scale from hard water coats it. The signs are water in the burner tray or under the heater, rust staining below the exchanger, and a heater that short cycles on high limit or will not reach set temperature. Once it leaks, the exchanger assembly is the repair.

Before you order

This part is specific to the H200FD. The H150FD, H250FD, H300FD, H350FD and H400FD each use their own exchanger, so check the model on the heater's rating plate. Correct the water chemistry that damaged the old exchanger before running the new one.
