The Waterway 319-3100B is the OEM pump seal set for the SVL56 and Workman pumps. It is the factory part, and Waterway also offers a generic equivalent, the PS1000, for anyone who prefers the aftermarket version.
The leak it fixes
A pool or spa pump seals the shaft where it passes from the motor into the wet end. When that seal wears, water follows the shaft out and drips onto the motor face and the pad below. Left alone it gets into the motor bearings and turns a small parts order into a motor replacement, so a dripping seal is worth changing as soon as it shows up.
Working tips
Handle the new faces by their edges and keep them clean; the polished surfaces do the sealing, and fingerprints or grit on them shorten the life of a new set. Compare each piece against the old one before reassembly so nothing is left in the housing.
