What it does

An in-floor cleaning system runs its steps on a separate, lower flow circuit than the main pool floor. This head is the one that pops up on the step tread and sweeps debris off it. When a step head stops rising or stops turning, leaves and grit simply sit on the steps while the rest of the pool cleans normally.
