The Pentair 357068S is a three phase pump motor rated 5 HP, running on 208, 230 or 460 volts at 60 Hz, in a 182JMZ frame. It is the genuine Pentair part.
Three phase only
This motor needs three phase service. It is not a substitute for a single phase motor of the same horsepower, and the two are not interchangeable at the panel. Commercial and larger residential installations that already run three phase are where it belongs.
Before ordering
Take the nameplate off the motor you are replacing and check horsepower, voltage and frame against this one. The 182JMZ is a JM frame, where the shaft is built for a close coupled pump end, so the frame designation is what makes the motor usable rather than merely similar.
