Which tank it fits
This is the lid for the 320 sq ft Clean and Clear Plus body. Pentair uses different lids on the 420 and the 520, so read the size off the filter label before ordering. The same lid also serves the Quad DE 60.
Why lids get replaced
A filter lid is a pressure part. Years of pressure cycling, sun and heat leave it crazed or cracked, and once it starts weeping under pressure there is no reliable repair. The assembly gets swapped out instead.
While the filter is open
The clamp kit and the air relief valve are separate Pentair parts. Both are cheap next to a second teardown, so it is worth looking at them while the tank is already apart.
