⌄The Hayward DEX2420MAR2 is the manual air relief assembly for SwimClear cartridge filters and Pro-Grid DE filters. It twist locks onto the top of the filter and is the current revision of the DEX2420MAR, so it fits older filters that originally shipped with that part as well as current ones.
Fits
SwimClear C2020/C2025, C3020/C3025, C4020/C4025, C5020/C5025 and C7000 cartridge filters, and Pro-Grid DE2420, DE3620, DE4820, DE6020 and DE7220 DE filters. The same assembly is also listed under DE2420MAR2 and distributor numbers 4811-22 and 17-150-1308.
What it does
The air relief lets you purge trapped air from the tank after cleaning the cartridges or recharging DE. Open it while the pump starts, close it once a steady stream of water appears. A relief that will not seal, is cracked or has a stripped lock is the reason to replace it. Removal and replacement instructions are included.
