New style only
This is the part to get wrong if you order in a hurry. The kit fits the new style clamp only, and an older filter with the earlier clamp arrangement takes different hardware. Compare the clamp on your tank against the one pictured before ordering, and if there is any doubt, check the model and the build of the filter first.
Why it matters
The clamp ring is what holds the two halves of the filter body together against system pressure. It is not a part to improvise around or to reassemble with a piece missing, and a corroded or damaged clamp is replaced rather than patched.
